New older person’s PACT 11/03/2010

DARLINGTON’S first Older Person’s PACT meeting will take place next week to give the over-50s in the Borough a voice on issues important to them.

The Older Person’s PACT (Partner and Communities Together) meeting has been organised by GOLD, Growing Older Living in Darlington - a local group aiming to improve the quality of life for the over-50s in Darlington.

Anyone aged over 50 years is welcome at the meeting where issues important to older people will be discussed including litter, graffiti, car parking and anti-social behaviour.

Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator, Vikki Ord, will attend the meeting to address issues raised, advise people who to contact for further help and help people find solutions for their concerns.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday 16 March at 10.30am in the Board Room of the eVOLution offices in Church Row. Meetings will then take place every third Tuesday of the month (same time and venue). Refreshments will be provided.

For further information please contact Lesley Compson or Claire Llewellyn at GOLD on (01325) 388845.
