The main role of the PCT Professional Executive
Committee, is to support and develop clinically driven primary
and community services working jointly with partnership
agencies and front line staff, for example:
- Delivering the strategic aims and objectives of the
PCT;
- Ensuring that the health needs of the local population
is fed into the planning and delivery of health care services;

- Developing and delivering the Health Improvement Programme;
- Performance management;
- Providing professional and clinical support and advice;
- Promoting partnership working;
- Continually developing and ensuring delivery of clinical
services.
